Physiology

Introduction:

The Department of Physiology has well-equipped Human Physiology, Haematology, and Clinical Physiology laboratories for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. Additionally, it has advanced, state-of-the-art Chest Examination Simulators for the cardiac and respiratory systems on which the undergraduate and postgraduate students are trained and assessed.

For research activity, the department has a fully equipped AFT (Autonomic Function Test) lab, Exercise Physiology lab, Neurophysiology and Cognition Lab, and Diabetic Foot Lab. Various research projects and academic activities are carried out in these laboratories.

The Departmental library has an impressive collection of books, thesis, synopses, and journals available for ready reference of faculty, undergraduate and postgraduate students. The Departmental library also provides a book bank facility for needy students. A Departmental Physiology museum showcasing the history of Physiology has been developed as per NMC norms.
